Have you ever struggled to move a file like a song or a pdf file to the main screen of your Android phone (like a song you listen to quite often or a boarding pass) ? There's no easy way to do it in the Android system itself. ES explorer provided a way to do it until that app was blocked on Google play store. After a bit of a struggle, I found a way to do it and sharing so that it could help some of you. Step 1: Install 'File Widget' from play store. After it's installed, there's not much you can do on the app. Step 2: Open widgets (the way to do it differs from phone to phone but usually do a long press on the home screen and select widgets. Step 3: select File Widget and then locate the file you want to move to the desktop and press ok... It will create a shortcut to the file on your desktop. Enjoy!
